PS3/PC Portal 2 CO-OP Play Question?

Ok so I have played the single player campaign on my PS3 and play CO-OP with my friend via Steam. Now I heard that saves go between the PS3 and Steam accounts when they are linked but I am not able to start Co-Op on PS3 where I left off on PC. Any help? Thanks
