Can I ask to see my school's budget?

Specifically Edmonton Public School board(Alberta, Canada). Can I ask to see my school's budget? The principal won't tell me what the money they get for my daughter's disability went to and they won't provide her with an aide so I'm questioning where that money is being spent. Basically is it public knowledge or do I have to take his word that "the money is being spent to better her education"
