What are the chances of charges for assault with a deadly weapon to be dismissed?

my son and I was arguing, I grabbed a knife because he was out of control, and was all up in my face. He grabbed the knife and cut his finger. I was arrested and let out of ail on a $5000 bond, he is not filing and the cut was not even deep enough to need no type of medical attention, did not even need a band aide. I was the one who called the police because several hours after everything had happen and things had calm down he decided to get started up again. I called them and told them to come and tell him to leave so we can get some space and they ended up taking me to jail
