What is the Task for an EA in Nursing homes?

I am a Student NA working on the floor in a Nursing home and no one there seems to know what the tasks are for and Environmental Aide what can I do and what can I not do...I am only two days into the CNA class and I hate going to work and not know what I can and cant do....is there any one that knows?
