Why do liberals accuse Republicans of being racists?

No myth. The dialogue seems obvious. When the republican party was taken over by neo-cons and the right became extreme, the attacks have been against laws aiding populations typically black. The obvious racism directed against Obama -- and sadly, Michelle Obama although the left has always left spouses out of the argument -- are strong indicators of that leaning.
